New Assistant Director

We are pleased to announce that Kyle E. Mitchell has been named Assistant Director, effective immediately.

He takes over the role from Celia Bogan, who previously served as Operations Director and has now been promoted to Executive Director of Hope House.

Kyle is a native of Middlebury, Vermont, and a recent graduate of Utica University,
where he earned a degree in Political Science and served as Class President. He completed the
university’s honors program and is now pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Administration. He
brings over five years of nonprofit experience, including work in food service, administrative
support, and emergency shelters. Most notably, he worked at Charter House Coalition in
Vermont, a 24/7 shelter for individuals facing housing insecurity.

Kyle Mitchell came to Utica, NY, as a college student and quickly became active in the Utica
University community and Utica community. His dedication to public service and direct
experience with shelter work make him a valuable addition to the Hope House team.
The Board of Directors is proud to welcome Mr. Mitchell and look forward to the leadership
and care he will bring as Hope House continues its mission of providing hospitality,
nourishment, and dignity to all.
