Announcing Our New Executive Director

Hope House, a soup kitchen and day shelter, has announced the appointment of Celia Bogan as the site’s new executive director effective July 1.

Bogan succeeds John Madej, who had served as executive director for the past 10 years, according to an announcement by the Hope House Board of Directors.

“As he enters a well-deserved retirement, we thank John for his many accomplishments and for his unwavering dedication to serving those in need,” the board wrote in an announcement.

Bogan has served as director of operations at Hope House since joining the organization 13 years ago, the announcement said, adding that she “has been instrumental in managing the daily operations of the soup kitchen and brings a deep understanding of both the mission and the community we serve. In addition to her operational leadership, Ms. Bogan has represented Hope House by speaking at local churches, schools, and organizations, helping to raise awareness about the needs of our guests — and she looks forward to continuing this outreach in her new role.”

“The Board of Directors is excited to partner with Ms. Bogan in this next chapter,” the announcement said. “We are confident that with her compassion, humility, and strong leadership, she will help Hope House continue to grow as a place of nourishment, dignity, and hope for all who walk through our doors.”
