Please Join us in Celebrating our 25th Anniversary!
May will mark 25 years of feeding the hungry and homeless here in Utica. Beyond celebrating this milestone, this is a time to honor all of the guests who have come through our doors in that time.
Derek & Bethany from Utica College brought BOXES and BOXES of food and toiletries for Hope House to use and give away to our guests.
Hope House is a soup kitchen located in Utica, NY. We provide 2-3 meals a day, 7 days a week to those in most need in our community. We average 7500 meals a month and 95,000 meals a year. Due to the increased number of people coming in our doors, we are preparing to build a new facility which will allow us greater capacity.
Thank you to all who came!
We sold out of tickets, had some absolutely delicious Polish food and were able to honor the great work of the Utica Police Department!
We will be updating this post soon with more details and pictures.
Looking for a unique and enjoyable dining experience while helping those less fortunate within our community? Then “The Falling Leaves and Friendship” Dinner, a premier fundraising event for Hope House, is the place to be on Saturday October 24th from 5-7 PM.
Ties to the Community
I’m a native of West Utica and, along with my two brothers and sisters, attended Holy Trinity Elementary School and Notre Dame High School. My father worked as a truck driver for Nehi Soda and later as a bus driver for Central Coach lines.
By this time you may have heard that I have resigned my position as Executive Director at Hope House to take a position with the local chapter of the Boy Scouts.
While I am not going far I want you all to know how much I have appreciated everything that you do to make Hope House work serving those in need in our community.
Our Volunteer Dinner was a lovely evening- for some, it was the best we’ve had!
We had day managers in attendance, servers, morning crew, deliveries, volunteers past and present, old and new! 10 employees of Bank of America came to help with service and clean up- “serving the servers” so to speak.
It is almost time for our annual volunteer dinner! 363 days a year our volunteers work hard to provide breakfasts, lunches and dinners for our guests. On this night, we will provide the meal for them. The dinner will be at the New Hartford Methodist Church on Wednesday, May 13th.
