By this time you may have heard that I have resigned my position as Executive Director at Hope House to take a position with the local chapter of the Boy Scouts.
While I am not going far I want you all to know how much I have appreciated everything that you do to make Hope House work serving those in need in our community. You are what makes Hope House work. The value that the love and care you all show for our guest cannot be measured. Without it Hope House could not be what it is. From preparing meals, serving, picking up food, making a financial gift all goes towards making our community a better place.
Does Hope House help? The answer is yes. During my last week here I was able to share a heartfelt hug with a guest who was kicked out for a long period of time. He is currently sober and working on moving his life forward.
There are many, many stories like this that come from Hope House. It is thanks to you, our donors and volunteers that make it possible.
The next few months are going to be exciting at Hope House. The new website is up and running (share with your friends (hopehouseutica.org), a new television commercial is being produced to help tell our story as well. I am also praying that in the next few months your new executive director will have some exciting news on the long awaited building project. Hope House has become a part of my heart and soul and for that I am a better person.
Thank you all for making this wonderful place of Hope a reality for those most in need.
